This position based in Luxembourg plays a key role in the international positioning of SMS Group and Paul Wurth. Consequently, you will be in close cooperation with the marketing team within Europe. If you are passionate about developing and implementing creative and innovative marketing communications initiatives, then join our team and report directly to the Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Green Steel, Circular Economy, Digitalisation: you like complex topics, develop strategic messages and narrative strands and make the industry's transformation tangible for all stakeholder groups through targeted communication measures.
  • You lead content creation for our product and service offerings and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in content activation. You use different types of texts effortlessly and are able to create editorial contributions for different target groups. You like to use your writing skills across different topics and you enjoy putting the finishing touches to other people's texts in proofreading/editing.
  • You write convincing press releases and answer media enquiries confidently. You use your international media network to position our topics and stories.
  • You are responsible for the development of thought leadership content (e.g. studies or surveys) and the briefing of top management team members for keynotes, panel discussions or podcasts.
  • You develop and expand the Public Affairs function of SMS group in Europe and beyond, building on the expertise and network of Paul Wurth in Luxembourg.
  • You manage relationships with our external stakeholders including associations, NGOs, and authorities in Luxembourg and Brussels.
  • You implement our brand strategy and act as regional contact person to Corporate Headquarters for all communication related matters.

Must Have:

  • Master Degree in Communications, Journalism, Economics or a comparable degree or journalistic training
  • Several years of proven experience in journalism or a corporate role in communications, public affairs, strategy or similar
  • You can effectively develop and implement your ideas, as you are proficient in the common channels and online and offline formats of corporate communications and media relations.
  • You have relevant media contacts and experience in independently approaching and maintaining media contacts as well as sound experience with editorial routines.
  • You have native-level fluency in English and excellent command in French.
  • You enjoy rethinking and continuously improving topics and processes and strive for an environment where you can constantly try out new things and learn.
  • You show a high degree of solution orientation, initiative and are able to work under pressure.
  • You have a digital affinity and are enthusiastic about communication trends. You are very confident in using Office 365, especially PowerPoint.

Nice To Have:

  • German language skills are beneficial.
